Five Brilliant Ideas To Keep Your Makeup Budget In Check
The very first time when I started taking an interest in the colourful world of makeup, I had to look up and down the internet to find some tips and hack to make it easier. But there was just so much to choose from that it became more and more confusing. With time I picked up some really good ideas that could have been useful to me in my initial days. Therefore, to make your journey a bit easier, I will share some very useful tips with you and will try to keep it brief and to the point.
- Your Eye shadow Palette has multi usage
When I just started taking an interest in makeup I did not own a lot of stuff. Back then my eye shadow palette served not only as an eye shadow but also contour, blush, highlighter and eyebrows. That one nifty little thing turned out to be what I started calling a magic box. Even today, when I can’t find my blush or highlighter handy, I still fall back to my previous routine.
- Colour Corrector
An even skin tone is one of the basic criteria for starting makeup. If the canvas is even and smooth, the painting comes across better. Not all of us are blessed with perfect even tones skin and the pollution and busy lifestyle adds to pigmentation and discoloration. So, when you start the makeup, you need to even out those spots and blemishes. However, if you do not own a colour corrector, you may always use a matte orange lipstick for the purpose. It will give you amazing results.
- Brush that brow
Before you start drawing your eyebrows, make it a habit of brushing them. If you do not own an eyebrow brush use an old mascara brush. Just make sure you have thoroughly washed it. Brushing will align your brows well and you can go ahead and fill in or shape it with a brow pencil very easily.
- Don’t sweat over a brush
It is safe to say that not all of us own a set of a makeup brush. Firstly, they are quite expensive at times if you want a good quality; secondly, they do not last for very long. They need to be washed and maintained well. But it is okay if you don’t want to invest in something like that. I always found the fingers to be a better blender anyway. It slides on the skin way better than any brush and doesn’t include the tedious hassle of washing and drying them.
- Keep some earbuds handy
This is quite unconventional but you will find this very handy. If you do not have an eye shadow applicator or lipstick brush, you can always use these earbuds as an alternative. They are very useful for the corner of the eye and lips. You may also shape them up a little with fingers or a pair of scissors to make them pointy if you are looking for sharp edges.
I can go on and on but that might get a little monotonous in one blog. Once you get the hang of it, you will start discovering hack/ ideas yourself to make makeup easier. However, always remember, there is no alternative to healthy skin. So follow a good skincare regime. Try to do CTM daily and get sufficient sleep.
