Your Nails at their Best!

Nails are often stated as the only thing you can get into shape without any exercise. It is imperative to care of your nails unlike other body parts, I read it somewhere “a girl should have two things:

Beautiful nails & awesome toes”. The way you keep your nails portray a lot about you. One must make it a point to take care of them on a regular basis. I am not asking you to spend your bucks, in order to have beautiful nails you may opt for the natural remedies as well.  It is not only our skin & hair that gets affected or damaged by the pollution, but our nails suffer too, so protecting them also must be a part of our beauty treatment.

To keep them healthy, strong & beautiful you must keep them well-nourished. Make it a point to keep them strong. Keeping them short, clean and well hydrated is the best trick to keep them healthy. However, this is not always easy, especially if they are not soft. Our nails are easy to cut after showering, as the water softens them considerably. Thus, this is a very convenient time to cut them and settle your toenail care routine. This is something that you can do it every day. Use non-acetone nail polish remover. The products which contain acetone greatly weakens our nails.

  • Wear gloves when using chemicals, for instance when washing dishes. Harsh chemicals and hot water can end up causing flaking and breakage.
  • Don’t bite your nails or cuticles; not only does this downgrade the appearance of your nails, but it weakens them too.

    Eat healthy kinds of stuff such as:

  • Green veggies.
  • Eggs,
  • Meat,
  • Cereals,
  • Fish,
  • Milk & milk products etc.


Keep your nails hydrated.

Along with a healthy diet, keeping your nails hydrated is also very necessary, so

  • Make sure you drink at least 2 liters of water daily.
  • Apply hand lotion at least two times a day, it helps in retaining the moisture.
  • Take some olive oil in a bowl & pour you fingers into it, say for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse your hand properly with water & apply some moisturizer. Repeat this procedure regularly for a week & check out the results for yourself.


When talking about nails, a manicure is considered to be the default process pre-included in its care.

You can get your manicure done at home as well.

Manicure at home.

Take some lukewarm water in a tub, add some rose petals or rose water into the water, you also need to add some amount of shampoo into the water(you may use any shampoo), now add a pinch of salt, mix it & let your feet & hands rest into the solution for a minimum duration of 20 to 30 minutes. You may relax till then. Say after 30 minutes wash your hands & feet with plain water. And you are done with your manicure. You can gently rub the cuticles & edges of your nails with the help of a brush. If you choose to get manicure treatment done in the salon, you can be assured of a range of services when combined with basic nail cleaning service. You can choose to have acrylic or artificial nails done for you or opt for specific nail design.

Somebody rightly said, “nothing improves your mood like a new manicure”. That feeling of contentment cannot be explained in words when you are made to relax with no tensions or thoughts crossing your mind for a while. Also, give your nails time to breathe for about a week in between getting a fresh manicure or pedicure.
